Al Worden

We are so sad to hear that Al Worden, Apollo 15, passed away March 18 2020. He was one of the heroes of the moon program, a strong personality and an empathic friend. We were lucky that he followed our invitation to the Stuttgart Space Conference in 2015. He gave a marvelous speech on his mission and he motivated all of us to follow our feelings and inspiration. And, moreover, he spent precious hours with pupils and students of our Youth Research Center AEROSPACE LAB in Herrenberg. How inspiring he was! And what impact he had on the young people – the man who flew around the moon. We are so lucky that we had the opportunity to spend some hours with him. A deep experience and a precious brick of our life. We miss him.
